The Choo Choo (restaurant)
Posted October 20, 2008 by Ima Local
The Choo Choo is a 50’s style diner where food is served via a model train. It’s a charming little place where seating is VERY limited and the menu is small. The kids get a thrill out of seeing their lunch come around the track on a little train. For the ultimate experience, we like to ride the commuter train in and walk from the station to the restaurant (it is only a block and a half). Parking is limited. Music is also kid-friendly and fits with the restaurant’s overall look and theme. Also important to note is that The Choo Choo only accepts cash so be sure to stop at the ATM before you go. It’s definitely a restaurant that the kids will enjoy more than anyone else. Going at an off-peak time is recommended as it’s common for people to wait out the door to get a table since the seating area is so small.
