Sun Mountain Gathering

Sun Mountain Gathering is a unique educational experience geared toward families. It is a chance to learn about 12000 of Southwestern Heritage. Events include Native American dancers and performances, pottery making, arrow head making and other traditional arts. There will even be a chance to see and pet a live wolf. This is a great opportunity to teach children about this fascinating culture. The event runs from 10:00am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2008. The event is put on by the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture which is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. (between Memorial Day and Labor Day the museum is open seven days.) The Sun Mountain Gathering is offered free of charge.
