South Carolina Aquarium
Posted October 24, 2008 by Ima Local
The South Carolina Aquarium is a great place for kids and adults alike. They have a great set up, including a touch tank, for the more adventurous kids, where they can learn about hermit crabs and sea urchins. The guides are friendly and informative, and very patient with children’s questions. It is both an educational and fun trip at the same time, definitely geared toward families and children. There are several hotels in the local vicinity, if you are planning a trip, they have several listed on their site. They also have Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation there and several different events each day, such as Breakfast With the Otters, and an Ocean Explorations: A Great Ocean Tank Interactive Dive. Overall, it is a fantastic learning experience for the kids.
