Scottsdale, AZ - All-American city

Posted July 15, 2008 by user-submitted-content

Scottsdale, Arizona is an All American City in many ways.  It is clean, has great schools and is less than 3 miles from the campus of Arizona State Univ.  It is famous for its Thursday night Art Walks in downtown Scottsdale during the Winter months.

The numerous golf courses in and around the city are world class, and the Phoenix PGA Open is played there each January.  Due to the summer heat in Arizona, the winter months are the best for visiting the city.  In the Spring, MLB teams practice all around the Valley and the games are inexpensive to attend.

Some of the finest hotels/resorts in the world are located in Scottsdale.  The population is a mix of retired people, professionals, working people and people on vacation.  The cost of homes is expensive in most areas of Scottsdale.  It is a wonderful, safe place to enjoy visiting or as a full-time resident.
