The John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is filled with things for kids to do. There are real live fossils you can see on display all over the place. There are colorful natural rock structures to play on. When you’re done with that, you can explore the lush, cool forest. You can also walk along the banks of the John Day River basin. There are plenty of animals around for your children to see and learn about. Kids can have fun and at the same time learn about paleontology and the dinosaurs that used to roam the earth. It’s enjoyable and educational for everyone!
