New York City history

Posted March 22, 2008 by Realty.com Editor

New York History and local attractions are abundant but one in particular that stands out is the Statue of Liberty. What is it one thinks of when they think of the Big Apple? The statue itself is large from afar but not as large when you’re on Ellis Island looking up at her. Within the statue it’s rather cold and any given day of the week in a school year you can find at least one lone student working on a history report or an art major sketching the old woman herself.

If anyone is proud to be an American then they would appreciate this site. Originally a gift from France, the Statue of Liberty has stood for freedom and prosperity to millions world wide. The best time to take a tour of the old girl is the Spring/ Summer months for the island itself does chill rather quickly.
