Naperville, IL - a great alternative to Chicago life

Naperville, IL is one one of the most desired places to raise a family. With something for everyone, it’s a great place to live or visit.
The town has a clear affluence, but there is still a feeling of warmth and community. Downtown Naperville is the main attraction of the area. With lots of shopping and dining, the area always has a variety of people. There are more restaurants than you could imagine in an area. For a reasonably priced meal, you can pick from places like Chipotle, Noodles, Potbellies, Subway, or Cosi. Mid-range restaurants include Mongolian BBQ, Flattop Grill, and Timpano. For a finer dining experience, there’s Hugo’s Frog Bar, Catch35, and Sulivan’s Steakhouse.
The town holds the Ribfest around the 4th of July weekend, in which vendors sell ribs and other food and live music is played. The Last Fling is held in the fall, and has a carnival set up as well as food and live music. On a more regular basis, the Municipal Band performs once a week at an outdoor band shell.
Concerts are also performed at the recently build carillon. If you’re looking for something to do on a daily basis, you can stroll along the river, enjoying the lively people, simple but elegant bridges, and beautiful nature. There is an area to go paddle boating, which is great for younger children. There is even the Centennial Beach, which is a great way to relax during a warm summer day. The area is well known for it’s outstanding schools, including Naperville Central HS, Naperville North HS, and Neuqua Valley HS. The College of DuPage and North Central College are also in the area.
The subdivisions are all well kept and pleasant, ranging from very affordable to extravagant mansions. Overall, Naperville is a perfect place to live for just about anyone, as well as a pleasant place just to visit. There’s something for everybody, and literally all types of people fit in. After visiting, you’ll be hard pressed to think of another community that offers a much as Naperville!
