Missoula Art Museum

Posted October 21, 2008 by Ima Local

Spending a day at the Missoula Art Museum is a great way to spend quality time with your children during the winter months ahead. Inspiration comes in many forms and both young and old alike may soak in the atmosphere of beauty. The museum offers many opportunities for community participation. From art lessons, art parties, guided tours and educational workshops this museum has a little flavor for everyone.

Artini is one event which happens every third Thursday of the month and it is a great experience for mom’s and dads to take a night out for themselves and enjoy live rock and roll while viewing spur of the minute art installations.

Another great experience at the museum, is the teen open studios night. An on going event happening ever fourth Thursday of the month. With an open space which allows young artists to experiment with tools to create their own works of imagination. This free program gives teens a chance to gather with their peers in an environment that is promoting a hands on experience with art.

Located in the downtown area of Missoula with hours of operation Tuesday through Saturday 11am-5pm. Free admission into the museum and an atmosphere that is engaging as well as an experience to share with the whole family.
