I would greatly endorse Frankenmuth, MI as a great place to bring the family on a vacation. It is perfect for a day trip or weekend away. It is a real special great tourist spot in the Midwest that offers a wonderful presentation of German culture. I visited Frankenmuth every year as a child and hold such fond memories.
