Posted March 24, 2008 by Realty.com Editor
Memorial Park is one of the most utilized and most charming green spaces in Houston, Texas. It borders I-10 and the loop and contains some of the prettiest parts of Buffalo Bayou. The park has many nature and jogging trails, an arboretum, tennis courts and other recreational facilities. It is popular with the very young, older folks, and everyone in between.
Each spring, the park blossoms with the Bayou City Arts Festival. This is a juried art show in the outdoors with over 300 artists working in 19 different media. There are also interactive areas just for the kids and lots of entertainment on the live stage sponsored by the Houston Arts Alliance. There are wine bars and restaurants and even a Broadway Café with music. This year the show is March 28-30 from 10AM to 6PM each day. The show is $10 for adults and free to children. Shuttle buses are available to make parking easier. For more information, visit the website, http://www.bayoucityartfestival.com .
