Posted December 19, 2008 by Deb Agliano

Whether you’re looking to buy real estate in Medford, MA or already make 02155 your home, here is some information about the city:

Medford is an extremely historic city

  * Paul Revere road through it on his famous ride to warn that, “The British are coming!”
  * Jingle Bells was written in Medford (in fact, in a tavern that used to be right across from our Medford office)
  * “Over the River and Through the Woods” was written about Medford (the river is our own Mystic Rvier) and Grandmother’s house is still standing and is now owned by Tufts University.
  * Medford was a stop on the underground railroad during the Civil War.

This is just a small list of Medford history. Read more about Medford’s history at Medford.org.
