Lynchburg, Virginia is a wonderful centerpiece of historic value. “The Hill City”, is known for its beautiful landscapes, and its place in the civil war. The City Cemetary is one landmark for tourists and locals alike. Each area of the cemetary has its own piece of historical background. There is an area for all the area civil war soldiers, and even the grave of a famous lynchburg prostitute, where you can pay your respects by tossing pennies on it.
