Lincoln Park Zoo
Posted October 20, 2008 by Ima Local
This zoo is one of the oldest in the country, it was established in the mid 1800s. It is completely free, which is great for families on a budget. The Zoo is also open 365 days a year! It has a very intimate type setting, so you can be as close as possible to the animals. There are also a few rides, such as a carousel and a paddle boat. The Zoo includes a LPZOO Express train ride, a 4-D Virtual Safari simulator and a Safari Audio Tour. These specialty items do cost a small fee, though. There is food on premises and a gift shop.
