Henry Vilas Zoo
Posted October 24, 2008 by Ima Local
The Henry Vilas Zoo is a great place to take your children, because it uniquely collaborates fun with education. The zoo has free admission and is open daily from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. It is a safe place and has a lot for the kids to learn about. I would recommend visiting the Discovery Center & Herpetarium. In the Discovery Center you can explore animal secrets hands on, with microscopes and magnifiers. The Herpetarium is an indoor facility that is home to reptiles, amphibians, and fish. The zoo also hosts special events, so you should visit their website to view their calendar. In fact with Halloween just around the corner, you may wish to participate in their free trick-or-treating event.
