Heathcote Botanical Gardens

Fort Pierce is about 125 miles north of Miami approximately 2.5 hours by car, 120 miles southeast of Orlando (2 hours by car) and 150 miles east of Tampa/St Petersburg (3 hours by car). Fort Pierce is easily accessible from both Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike. One of Florida’s great study tour destinations for students. Featuring many different gardens, such as Japanese Garden, Reflection Garden, and more. Special program events are available just for children, for example the Heathcote Kids Junior Master Gardeners Program and Pioneer Garden. It is Thursdays, June 5 - August 4 from 9am - 10am. $5 registration fee for 11 week session. General admissions are $6 for adults, $5 seniors, $2 kids age 6-12, and kids under 6 are free. Gardens and Gift Shop open Tuesday - Saturday: 9am - 5 pm year-round, Sundays: 1pm - 5pm, November-April. Closed Mondays and major holidays.
