Hattiesburg, MI - small but central
Posted July 15, 2008 by user-submitted-content
Hattiesburg, Mississippi is a small and a certified retirement community. It has been given the name “Hub City”, due to its centralized location from New Orleans, Jackson (capitol), and Mississippi Gulf Coast. This makes it really easy to take a trip to the casinos since they are about 45 to 1 hour away.
There are a number of events throughout the year to keep one entertained, such as Oktoberfest and Juneteenth. There are a number of chain restaurants like Chilis and Red Lobster to satisfy your appetite. Smaller restaurants like Letha’s Barbeque will peak your appetite with deliciously strange entrees (Possum anyone!). She was featured on “Andrew Zimmerman’s Bizarre Foods”.
