Great Plain Zoo

The Great Plain Zoo is an accredited member of the association of zoos and aquariums. It has 500 animals on display in their natural habitat. The zoo strives to fulfill 4 major objective: education, conservation, recreation, discovery. The 45-acre park features animals in simulated natural habitats, such as the Asian Cat Habitat, Bear Canyon and our new African Savannah. The popular Children\u2019s Zoo gives visitors an up close and personal chance to interact with the animals. The gates open from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with gates closing at 6:00 p.m. Some of the rides at the zoo are the Critter Cabin, a Train Ride and a Carrousel. Refreshments can be purchased at the Maasai Market from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. The zoo is open from April 1st through September 1st. Admission for adults is $6.80+tax and youths $3.80+tax. Bring your family and enjoy a funfilled day for all.
