Gladys Porter Zoo

The Gladys Porter Zoo is the perfect spot to take your children for a fun day outside. The zoo is 31 acres in size and is home to numerous wild animals. I would recommend taking the Safari Express. The Safari Express is a train that gives you a tour of the zoo and allows you to get up close to the animals. It is only $1.00 per child and $2.00 for each adult. Take a trip any day of the year, because the zoo is open every single day. It is ideal to check out their events calendar as well. The zoo dedicates time for educational and fun events/activities each month.
