Flint, MI - tons to do!
Posted July 15, 2008 by Town Genius
My home town is flint, Michigan. Our city was the number one state for the Automobile. We are also well known for the Blues and Jazz festivals. In the summertime you can join us at the Genesee County Fair. There are many rides, games, a petting zoo and different attractions in the stands each weeknight. The fair runs for one week in the month of August.
We also have the Sloan Museum, where you can visit and see many things there as well as light shows. The Whiting Auditorium is also an interesting place. They hold indoor concerts and many other activities take place here. If you are hungry you can visit our well know Angelo’s where you can get coney dogs made of quality meat made by Kogelles. We also have some great restaurants that specialize in fish and chips, like Howard Johnsons, Whiteys and Long John Silvers.
The summertime is the best time to come here. with all the attractions I have already mentioned. You can take a visit to the upper part of the state. There is beautiful clean beaches, affordable camping and the annual car show in St. Ignace. Many people come from around the world to be in this car show or just to check it all out !!
The town is very friendly and you can see some awesome hot rods. Michigan has many great school systems as well. I went to Kearsley and it was a fun school to attend. When I graduated we had the biggest class ever 356 students. Besides Kearsley there are many more like Grand Blanc, Davison, Swartz Creek. Michigan is fun come visit !!
