Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Posted October 18, 2008 by Ima Local

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is a great place to bring kids.  Although it has a stuffy name, the museum has spent significant time and money to gear more of the exhibits towards kids.  There are hands on exhibits and demonstrations throughout the museum and friendly volunteers are happy to assist you.  There is something for everyone to see and learn at the museum, including parents.  There is a large IMAX theatre that is usually showing 3 or 4 films.  The T-REX cafe has a good selection of items when you get hungry.  The museum sits in a large park in downtown Denver with plenty of room for a picnic or just for kids to run around.  I grew up going to this museum and never got tired of it.
