Dallas Book Depository & The Grassy Knoll
Posted March 24, 2008 by Realty.com Editor
Dallas, Texas, is a city that is forever embedded in the minds of most Americans. Two locations of incredible morbid interest are the Dallas Book Depository and the fabled Grassy Knoll of which John F. Kennedy was assassinated some 40 some odd years ago.
The old book depository has since been converted into the Kennedy Museum and the Grassy Knoll is still treaded upon today. One can review all manner of information of this tragic yet historic event. The original window where Oswald was suppose to have fired his fatal rounds has been preserved and set on display. Along the top floor you can follow the history of our 35th President of the United States up that fateful day in November.
Down on the Grassy Knoll on any given day you can find people having lunch, enjoying the sunshine or just sitting and taking in the beautiful surrounding greenery of the well gardened area. Yes indeed, Dallas is steeped in history and is a wonderful place to visit in the middle of the Summer. A City of friendly people and clean air, anyone can leave Dallas with a sense of experiencing history up close.
