Children’s Museum and Science Center
Posted October 22, 2008 by Ima Local
The Children’s Museum and Science Center in Rocky Mount is a great family-friendly activity. The museum’s mission is to raise people’s awareness of their global connection and “unique place in space” by encouraging their participation in science, mathematics, and technology. To do this, the exhibits are engaging, hands-on, and fun for absolutely everyone. Offered daily are exciting events such as on-floor science demonstrations, which are free to visitors with paid admission. They also have a 2,800 gallon saltwater touch pool. The kids will love touching the live marsh animals. Also offered, is a Segway demonstration where you can take a ride on a real Segway! Also, don’t miss story time with Professor Storyteller. This is a kid favorite! Finally, if you need a location for a kid’s birthday party, this is it! Just talk to the Museum staff for an afordable rate.
