Boston’s Tavern On The Water
Posted March 22, 2008 by Realty.com Editor
After a day touring Boston, the perfect place to go for a drink and some seafood is the Tavern On The Water just over the bridge in Charlestown, site of the Old Ironsides boat.
This establishment provides amazing views of the Boston skyline from across the water; really I don’t know any better view of Boston in Boston! You will see families, tourists, and people who work in the area enjoying the relaxed and casual feel both at lunch and for an early dinner or after work.
Tavern On The Water is a marina style restaurant where you can sit indoors or outside on a very large patio and enjoy traditional New England dishes like fried clams and clam chowder. (There are also things like chicken fingers and salads for diners who aren’t big fans of seafood.) Best of all, the prices are really quite reasonable. This is not a gourmet experience, but a good meal in a fantastic location where you won’t feel out of place in your tennis shoes and t-shirt.
