Alley Pond Environmental Center

Alley Pond Environmental Center is wonderful for any child interested in nature.
APEC is a private, non-profit corporation begun to make environmental responsibility fun.
There is a fee for the guided activities.
They offer birthday parties for ages 2-12 which include a room for the refreshments, interaction with live animals, a nature walk, and a nature related craft.
They offer activities for children from ages 2-12 on a monthly basis. There are after school programs and internships for teenagers.
The Alley Pond Environmental Center, Inc. (APEC) is located at 228-06 Northern Boulevard, just east of the Cross Island Parkway.
It is a one story building with parking behind the center.
